Here you will find answers to frequently asked questions about Mariager Camping & Hytter.
How close is the campsite to Mariager town?
Mariager Camping is located on the edge of Mariager, close to both the fjord and the town’s charming streets. Mariager Harbour is just 200 metres away, and the town centre is only 500 metres away.
Is Wi-Fi available at the campsite?
Yes, free Wi-Fi is available throughout the campsite. You can find the password in our guest app.
How far is it to the beach and swimming areas?
You can swim directly from the campsite or at Færgehagen, which is right next door. Here, you’ll find a bathing flag and a bathing jetty.
If you prefer sand between your toes, Mariager Strandpark is just 850 metres from the campsite. There are toilets and outdoor showers, and you can also try Mariager Vandpark, a free water park on the water.
Can I fish directly from the campsite?
Yes, Mariager Fjord offers excellent opportunities for recreational fishing, and you can fish directly from the campsite.
One of the fjord’s best fishing spots is within walking distance, just west of the campsite. There are also many good fishing spots along the southern shore of the fjord towards Hadsund and Hobro.

Can I bring my pet to the campsite?
Yes, pets are very welcome! We know they’re part of the family, too. You can bring your pet when camping or staying in our rental accommodation, with the exception of our Fjordbobler glamping tents.
If you bring a pet into a rental unit, final cleaning is mandatory.
Can I buy fresh breakfast rolls?
Yes, you can buy fresh breakfast rolls every day. Outside the high season, however, they must be ordered the day before, either in our shop or through our guest app, no later than 8:00 pm.
Are there shops nearby?
Yes, there are shops within easy reach. SuperBrugsen is approximately 500 metres from the campsite, and REMA 1000 is about 1 kilometre away.
Mariager also has plenty of charming shops and other services, including a pharmacy, bookshop, clothing shop, butcher, bakery, cafés and restaurants.
Are there electric vehicle charging points?
Yes, you can charge your electric vehicle at the campsite for a fee.
There are also several other charging options in Mariager, including E.ON Drive by the harbour, an OK charging station near SuperBrugsen and a Clever charging point by Mariager School.
Is the campsite accessible for guests with disabilities?
The campsite has an accessible toilet and shower. However, our cabins are not designed for wheelchair users.
If you have difficulty walking, we recommend our Funkis cabins, which are equipped with single beds.

The campsite is centrally located in relation to the surrounding cities of East Jutland such as Hobro, Hadsund and Randers – and both Aarhus and Aalborg can be reached in less than an hour.
