Mariager Camping & Hytter is located on the edge of Mariager Fjord. Right up to the forest, and only 300 meters to the center of the old market town Mariager. Here you will be motivated to play, enjoy and fellowship by the fjord and in the forest.
About the campsite
Being on the edge of Mariager Fjord
With its unique location, Mariager Camping & Hytter is the natural choice for modern holidaymakers who want a quality holiday in quiet and safe surroundings. There is room to be in nature, be together, be by the fjord, be curious or just be… on holiday.
The site is a good starting point for excursions, nature experiences, cycling and running, as well as cultural experiences. From the site it is a few minutes walk to the centre of the idyllic old market town, Mariager. A cosy town with cobblestones, half-timbered houses and hollyhocks or a marina, which in the summer season is buzzing with life and activity.
Mariager Camping & Hytter cooperates with tennis and golf clubs, rents out bicycles, SUP and kayaks. There are also ideal opportunities for fishing. All on or near the site.
Mariager has previously been certified as a CittaSlow town, and has been admitted to the exclusive society as Denmark’s 2nd town.
Pet-Friendly Holidays
We know how important it is for the whole family to enjoy a holiday together – and that includes our pets. That is why pets are welcome at Mariager Camping. Camping is a wonderful way for animals to enjoy a holiday, and our area offers plenty of beautiful nature where they can explore and roam. We have gathered all the important information about bringing dogs along, so you can enjoy your holiday with your four-legged friends without any worries.
Dogs at the campsite
There is a fee of DKK 20 per day for bringing a dog when camping.
Dogs are welcome in our cabins and shelter. In this case, final cleaning is mandatory and must be added to your booking. Dogs are not allowed in our Fjordbobler.
Dogs are allowed to swim at Færgehagen, which is located right next to the campsite. According to Danish dog regulations, dogs must be kept on a leash from April through September. At our fishing area, you can also wash or rinse your dog.
Rules for dogs at the campsite
- Dogs must be kept on a lead when you are on the site – including at the caravan.
- Dog “yard” is not allowed – for the sake of our other guests and dogs.
- Of course, you may have a small enclosure at the tent, so that your dog can walk freely in the tent. If in doubt, ask.
- Dogs must be handled outside the campsite. Right next to the campsite you will find a forest and a beach, so there are plenty of nice possibilities to walk your dog.
