A trip on Mariager fjord
------------------------

The fjord is a great playground. Bring your own equipment or rent it on site – and experience it all from the water. On site you can rent sea kayaks and fishingkayaks (sit-on-top). While it is possible to rent SUP boards 100 metres from the campsite.

It is possible to rent equipment (including paddle and life jacket) on site from 1 June – 1 September (weather permitting). From 10.00 to 18.00.

Bathing and fun by the water
----------------------------

Mariager Fjord has a high water quality - and the high water quality means that you can easily take a bath and enjoy yourself by the water. The calm and safe bathing conditions are also ideal for children.

In the extension of the site you will also find a bathing bridge - and the green area down to the bathing bridge is perfect for relaxation and activities.

If you want to drive a bit, we can recommend the beach at Øster Hurup - about 35 km from Mariager. The beach is very child-friendly and with the east-facing coast, you get extremely calm water.

Fantastic trout fishing
-----------------------

Mariager fjord is known for fantastic trout fishing. The sea trout is popularly called “silverware” – and the name refers to the trout’s beautiful silver colour combined with the fact that it is one of the most sought-after fish among anglers. They are found here in numbers that make trout fishing in Mariager Fjord unique in Denmark.

Mariager Camping & Hytter is located right down by Mariager fjord, and is a perfect starting point for fishing in the fjord. We also have fishing facilities and offer freezing capacity.
