• Randers Regnskov ("rain forest") - approx. 25 km away from Mariager. Buy tickets at a favourable price at Mariager Camping. 
• Horse-drawn carriage ride - experience Mariager town or the magnificent Rold Skov woods in a horse-drawn carriage.
• Child-friendly beach in Øster Hurup (approx. 35 km from Mariager) 
• Djurs Sommerland - have a fun day at the amusement park
